Archaeological

The Archaeological  Museum was created in 1815, it changed its location many times and it was a part of various museums. It belongs to the oldest places of this kind in Europe. Obtaining, developing and exhibiting archeological heritage from the area of Silesia has been the main goal of the Museum. Exhibits stored in the Museum come from the Old Stone Age (500 000 years ago) until the modern period (19 th century). The Museum is headquartered in the historic City Arsenal with a Gothic background, being one of not many completely preserved secular buildings from the Middle Ages located in Wrocław.
